Snowfall In Southeast Arizona
I just had to show off this picture for this web site! On Saturday morning, Joel and I drove to Chiricahua National Monument and came upon this snow-covered highway south of Dos Cabezas in Cochise County. With no vehicles anywhere in site, Joel stopped right on the road to smoke a cigarette and snap some photos. Interestingly, Tucson received some snow flurries last evening, but I am not sure at this time whether there was any accumulation of snow on the ground. Anytime southern Arizona receives snow, it is a remarkable event! -Steve (January 22, 2007)
